On November 23, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, participated and spoke at the next meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
At the meeting related to the situation in CSTO regions and the world, issues of growing regional and international threats and challenges, topical security and safety problems in the region and the world, priority areas of CSTO activity and strengthening of interstate cooperation within the framework of the Organization to ensure security and safety were discussed.
Views were exchanged on the current agenda of CSTO issues, ways to strengthen countering the dangers and threats of the modern world, effective joint measures in the fight against international terrorism and extremism, illegal trafficking of drugs and weapons, cybercrimes and other manifestations of transnational crime.
Based on the results of the meeting, the heads of state adopted the Joint Communique as well as the relevant decisions on improving the structural activity of CSTO, improving the legal and regulatory basis of its activity, developing the crisis response system and implementing other measures with respect to the Organization’s activity agenda.
The results of the next session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were announced at a press conference with the participation of a wide range of mass media representatives.
